Why I built JobMargin
I’m Randall Strickland. I estimate commercial concrete floors for a living, and I run Strickland & Co., the Georgia software company that builds JobMargin.
On every job I’ve bid, the number that matters most shows up last: what the job actually made. Crew hours are on timesheets and in texts. Receipts ride around in trucks. Extra work gets done before it gets priced. By the time anybody adds it all up, the job is over, and the next bid repeats the same mistakes.
The software out there was built for somebody else. Some of it is for big general contractors with project managers and an IT department. Some of it is for home-service companies running service calls. A lot of it charges for every user, which punishes you for growing your crew, and wants a demo call before you can even see it.
So I built JobMargin for crews like the ones I work with. Bids and follow-ups in one place. A crew clock that works on any phone, with no signal in a basement, and in Spanish. Receipts and hours that post to the job the day they happen. And one number on every job, live margin, that’s right while you can still do something about it.
It’s priced flat, so adding a man never raises your bill, and every plan has every feature. You can try it free for 14 days, already set up for your trade.
I answer the phone myself: (770) 990-0859, or email support@stricklandandco.net. If JobMargin doesn’t fit how you run jobs, tell me. That’s how it gets better.
