Bids

Keep every bid on one board and stop losing work to silence.

• A board for every bid, marked working, sent, won, or lost, with due dates and follow-up dates. Follow-ups that are due show up on your Home screen.
• AI reads your bid PDFs. Drop in one bid or a stack of them and JobMargin fills in the customer, amounts, and line items for you to review.
• Add and deduct alternates listed separately, shown on the quote but not counted in the total.
• Branded quotes with your logo, ready to print or save as a PDF.
• Quotes your customer accepts online. Send a private link; they open it on any phone, type their name, and tap Accept. The bid turns Won by itself, and you see when they opened it.
• Win rates by customer, and bids sent vs. won over the last six months.
• One tap from won bid to job, with the scope carried over and a starting budget from your estimate.

Job costing

See what every job is making while it’s still running, not at tax time.

• Budget vs. actual by cost category, set up for your trade.
• Live margin on every job as labor and receipts come in.
• Progress by quantity, so a job that’s half installed reads as half done.
• Change orders, including deducts, added straight into the contract value.
• Invoices with retainage, payments, and what’s left to bill.
• Invoices you can print or send as a PDF, with your logo, retainage held, a contract summary with change orders, and your payment terms.
• Warnings in the job log when labor runs over budget.

Crew and time

• GPS clock in and out on the crew’s own phones. Location is recorded only at the moment they punch, never all day.
• Hours land on the right job automatically, by pay type (regular, overtime, drive time, and more).
• Join codes to add your crew in seconds. Crew members see their own work and hours, not your margins.
• Works with no signal. Clock-ins save on the phone and sync when it’s back in range.
• Missed clock-out alerts. A shift left open past 12 hours shows up on the owner’s Home screen, so the hours get fixed before payroll.
• Payroll hours export. Each person’s hours for the pay period, by pay type, as a spreadsheet for QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, or by hand.
• Daily log and photos. The crew writes what got done, any problems, and the weather, and adds photos. Problems show up on the owner’s Home screen the same day.
• Spanish crew mode. The clock, job, hours, and daily log screens in Spanish, chosen on each phone. The office side stays in English.

Receipts and card charges

• Snap a receipt and the AI reads the vendor and amount, then it posts to the job and category you pick.
• Import your card statement and put each charge on a job, so card spend stops disappearing from your job costs.

Bring your data in

Moving from Smartsheet, Excel, QuickBooks, or Google Sheets? Upload the file, and JobMargin matches your columns to jobs, bids, customers, or crew. You check the matches before anything saves. Any size works, and duplicates are skipped. Here’s how.

TV dashboard

Put your numbers on the wall in the office or shop: who’s on the clock and where, active jobs, bids due, and hours this week. It rotates through four screens and updates itself.

• Office view shows dollars and margins. Shop view never does. Money is left out before it ever reaches the TV.
• Pair a TV with a code, like signing in to a streaming app. No password on the TV, and you can turn any TV off from Settings.
• Preview it in the app on your phone or laptop any time.

Monday email

Every Monday morning the owner gets last week in one email: hours and costs logged, bids won, jobs to watch and why, what’s due this week, problems the crew flagged, and invoices unpaid past 30 days.

Your calendar

Add JobMargin to Outlook and Microsoft 365, Google Calendar, or your iPhone calendar with a private link. Bid due dates, follow-ups, job start and finish dates, and scheduled work items show up in your calendar and update every few hours.
